Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:13
At times in my life situations have taken place where my feelings have gotten hurt and I wanted to retreat and run from the situation. It’s like being on the playground as a child surrounded by the school bullies and there is no safe place to run and everyone is just standing around watching and waiting to see what you are going to do. You are under pressure to make some kind of move, like always you just fold, get laughed at, then everyone walks away and then you are really left standing alone. You buy the lie that you are worthless, not good enough and that is why no one wants to be around you and once again, feelings of rejection, insecurities and alone, Now your head won’t shut up, it’s telling you-you’re a loser and will never amount to nothing.
Thank God for Christ, thank God for His word, His love for a person such as me. Through his word and traveling this road before, dealing with the bullies such as the Pharisees, my battle wasn’t as near as tough as His. Christ dealt with rejection feelings of insecurity, feeling less than, but He always knew He would amount to something, that He was enough because of who He was and who He was called to be, He drew from the King in Him, He prayed to the Father. He approached the throne of grace with confidence so that He could receive mercy and find grace to obtain the help He needed. Christ was aware that His assignment was bigger than Him and His feelings, in His human form.
I am learning that I have to look past what my eyes may see and what my head is telling me I’m feeling. I have to start approaching the throne of grace with confidence and remember who I am now that I am saved. When situations arise that Christ allows to take place in my life, I am not that helpless little girl that was on the playground and couldn’t find a safe place and always felt alone even in a crowd. I am a child of The Most High God! I get to walk in victories each and every day, as long as I remember who I am and what has taken place in my life was purposed and planned for a bigger reason.
As Charles Stanley will say, trust in God and leave the consequences to Him.
